This is the kit i bought
    https://www.ebay.com/ulk/itm/282228230864

Its perfect if you have a bed cover. I have 2018 TRD OR, I have it wired to the cargo light switch so it turns on anytime you unlock, open the doors and can be manually turned on via the cargo light switch. You can tap into the cargo light switch right under the driver side kick panel. It really doesn’t matter which light kit you get or even LED strips, as long as you wire it to the cargo light switch it will work great. Get the cheapest one you can find that is waterproof. Also this is not related but I might as well throw this in since were talking about lighting up dark areas, Amazon sells an LED under hood kit with a hood pin switch for $30. Comes in handy to light up your engine bay.

Not sure if this is the best thread for this question but has anyone install the 2020 bed lights in a 2018?

The 2020 is a different shape, so you’ll, at a minimum, have to cut the hole to fit.

Did you ever find out about replacing the module?

Replacing the module? No. I just wanted to find new bulbs and see if that was the problem. These lights were in when I bought the truck but have never worked since I’ve had it. Don’t even know where they’re connected to, need to fuse test etc.

I think the led strip install all around the edge of the bed is the best way to go because the modules in the corner won’t light up everything. All it takes if for something to get in the way and block the light module then it’s useless.

Bulb, module, board... same thing. I have them in my truck. One doesn’t work at all and only half the LEDs in the other work. Like that when I got it. They turn on when the dome light is on. I’m looking for either a cheap replacement bulb or doing strips all around as mentioned.7C3A9521-933E-4F29-BDE0-BA7AD21683AE.jpg

Mine have a push button above the ‘module’ on the drivers side. They seem to be shit for most people, so you’d probably be better off with strips...
I may just do the same

That's why I used strips for mine.
