    Interesting

So , because it's a truck , the OP should just deal with a vibration that shouldn't be there ?

If it is such a widespread issue how come there are not more complaints on here? I was a member on this board for nearly a year and a half before i bought my truck so I could see what possible issues there are or that could pop up. Didn't want there to be a strawberry shake issue like my Frontier.

Why would you drive the truck off the lot if it has a vibration issue? I wouldn't. I would have never signed the papers.

Yes, I actually had a moderator say "it's a truck".

And one last thing just because its on the Internet doesn't make it a wide spread issue. What percentage of Tacoma owners are actually on this board? Judging from the "massive" poll numbers not too many complaints.

So , because it's not a " widespread issue " and " because it's a truck " , the OP should just be happy with his vibration issue ?

Oh , and I guess in your endless research you missed all the other driveline vibration issue threads

Most driveline issues I read about we're from lifted trucks. I am not knocking the OP in anyway. I drove 3 hours to get my truck and I made damn sure it was right before I signed anything. I had them buff out some scratches before I did anything.

After reading the quoted previous post from the OP, just how bad is vibration and is the truck perfect or not?

Aparently , according to info in the 2012 driveline issue thread , Toyota is working on a TSB for this issue

In the whole scope of things I bet the percentage of this occurrence is very low. If there was a high percentage and it was a safety concern something would be done.

I for one have a perfectly operating 2012.

If you have a problem then go through all the proper procedures with Toyota and if they still can't fix it then sue them. Its that simple.

Seems like there is enough of an issue for Toyota to be developing a TSB for the issue

5 or 10 years ago I'd have said "don't bother", but today, corporations take social media (including forums like this) very seriously.
Sony has something like 35 full time employees who's only job is to surf the net and report customer satisfaction complaints on social media sites.

Companies are realizing exactly how much advertising they are getting for "free"... good and bad, and if they can spend $1000 to make you happy and that news reaches 10,000 bloggers, that is FAR cheaper than a TV or radio spot or magazine ad.

    Your wrong on this one.

Toyota build quality is not anywhere near what it used to be. Give your vehicle some time and you will see. We are not on here complaining for nothing.

    A few scenarios.

-As for the TSB, there are a number of us with extended warranties through toyota care and they just look the other way. They know it is a problem but state as long as it is operational it will not be covered even though there is a plan put forth through the TSB to remedy the problem. Rep comes out and tells us no luck.

-Toyota release's the TSB after 3/36 or 5/60 has elapsed so they say sorry your screwed in nice words and then there are the owners that are still under 3/36 and have to spend their time to fight to even get a TSB if they even get it at all.

or I am wrong and the others on here for years cause its a truck. Lets just say trucks rust too so we do not have to add that to the list of flaws.

Why would Toyota NOT issue a TSB?

There's no downside to it... it HELPS the dealer techs.
The TSB simply says "If the customer complains about this, we have found that this is the likely solution"

Whether it's under warranty or not, it can save the tech hours of troubleshooting.
Under warranty, with or without the TSB, repairs are covered.
Out of warranty, they are not covered.

The problems that people are having getting repairs under warranty is with the dealership and not with Toyota directly.
The DEALER makes the call on whether or not to perform a repair. If it is on a vehicle that is in warranty, Toyota covers it. They have no choice.

If anyone has any written evidence that Toyota is denying warranty payment to your dealership on a repair that the dealer WANTS to perform, I would suggest that you take that evidence to your state's attorney general.

This (see above) I have never had any vibration issues with any one of my Toyota trucks none of them were lifted though wonder if there is any thing to that? Never had axle wrap wonder if it has any thing to do with the way I drive? My first full time job paid $136 for 6 days work so over the years I have driven some real junk maybe that is why I think the Tacoma is so nice and don't notice these "problems"
