I once had these scanned and custom printed by a graphics shop for my Corvair... so it can be done...

With proper prep, no. I've heard of some people being told they wouldn't do the bed liner because surface rust was too bad, and that needed to be fixed first.

Surface rust should have been sanded off completely, along with the clear coat and top coat of paint (at least enough to allow the liners to adhere to the bed).

I would imagine that even if you didn't sand the bed down at all, and just wiped it clean with a paper towel, it should last more than 6 days!

Either way, I would ask for a complete re-do, not just a patch job, though. If it's bubbling after only a week, that makes me think the rest of it probably wasn't very well prepped, either.

for this bubble he poked a hole to relieve the pressure and put a small patch on it.
he said if it returns he can cut that section out and redo it in that area
he was supposed to sand the entire bed surface and the rails

Hey man, are you still able to do this and do you charge for your services? I am trying to get a usable image for CBoy808 to make a vinyl version of the prerunner tailgate badge on my 04. I am repainting and they have to come off. Here’s a pic. Let me know what you think.7B2BEEE5-39BA-4DF1-A36F-4DA738219583.jpg

If you already took them off, maybe you can send them to @CBoy808 and he can scan them. this post is old so maybe message him directly to get a faster response :)

He already made the vector file lol. He works fast! The reason I needed it photoshopped is because the tailgate decals for the 01-04s are made of silicone and they literally disintegrated when I removed them. Nothing to scan lol. Thankfully I took a picture beforehand.
