If you did the minimal maintenance required on your truck but didn't baby it, or overdo it...whats the lowest amount of miles you'd expect to get out of it? Barring any unforeseen out of the norm issues that could arise.

    100k? 200k?

If you mean normal maintenance as specified in the owners manual I would say 250-300 k miles.

My 07 has 152,000 with no issues. My BIL has a 2006 with 220,000 miles. Neither use a drop of oil between changes. In the 8 years I've owned mine about the only stuff I've done is routine stuff like brakes, oil, batteries and tires. I did have to have the HVAC fan replaced a couple of months ago at a cost of about $200. Never changed the transmission or diff oil and don't plan to unless I run it under water. I expect at least another 150,000 miles before any major repairs are needed.

I have a buddy that uses Tacomas for work. He's had 4. When they get to 500,000km he replaces them. I fully expect to get 500,000km.

My friend has a 4Runner with 350,000, miles and it's still chugging along. Might not be the fastest thing on the roads going into the mountains but it gets us there

My 87 mini was at about 250k when it went away.....had the normal 4cyl piston slap, but ran like a champ....about 5 years later it was still running around with who knows how many miles and the guy had not touched the motor....300k+ is pretty common for Yota motors as long as you don't have a 3.slow!

Really? I'd personally EXPECT at least 100K. There are way too many variables. Just take a look around at all the used trucks out there in various stages of age & mileage. You'll soon learn, there's not one magic pill you can take and magically get XXXX amount of miles.

I've had many toyotas over the years...and friends with Toyotas. If anything, the transmissions die long before the engines do. That is...if the body /frame stays intact.

    This.

I am good with my vehicles and if any of my past toyotas lifes have any indication 200K will be seen easy, if she dies for some reason at 300k (doubtful) ill be happy.

My first Toyota truck(1983) went 415K. My '95 Rodeo has 281K on it now. My wife's Avalon is about to turn 200K. My 1st Gen Tacoma had 100K on it when I traded it for my current 2nd Gen Tacoma. The 1st Gen Tacoma in my opinion would have easily made it to 300K or beyond There was nothing wrong with it. My wife hated it 'cuz it was a single cab. Too small for her and all the stuff she collects while driving around town. I miss that little truck.
