”runs good” doesn’t equal to poor reliability in my book, of all the other vehicles you’ve owned you never had one that wouldn’t run at all for one reason or another??? Lucky man if that’s so.
What’s the problem you’re needing fixed with your truck that the dealer can’t seem to fix?

    2016 Ford Escape and Focus.

Bought them at the same time and rid myself of them in under 30k miles. Worst vehicles I've ever owned. I would take my 2000 Buick Regal I had in high school over either of them any day.

It was called the Ford Sierra outside North America and not a bad car

They built a V8 using a Mustang engine for motor racing in South Africa where I'm from

Has to be the 4-6-8 Caddy I had. Glad you said “experienced” bc I barely ever drove it. 7 months at the dealership before they gave me a New Buick Riv. I don’t recall anyone who had one work right. :bananadead:

Mostly electrical shit that nobody cares about.
    Same story over here!

    100_5761_zps0c949b27.jpg

When my family first immigrated to the states, our first car was a white First Generation Taurus Wagon which quickly became a money pit. I distinctly remember nothing working. Even the radio was replaced with a shoebox cassette recorder wedged into the center console. I think the end of it was head gasket issues.
After that, my father leased a 1999 Taurus with that dumb oval rear window and it also, promptly shit the bed after only a few years.

Leave it to a Turd gen douche to call out a post from five years ago lol. Can you gen Z post 2nd gen folks even read dates or did they drop that in school as well?

Edit: If you want to look up the Mitsu dealer, they're Lethbridge Mitsubishi. Check the reviews, they're the last stop dealer in town. Mostly for folks with bad credit and a hankering for something Japanese but cheap. They also hired a friend as a salesperson in 2018 right before the owner/manager lost his personal AMVIC license. She quit after being hung out to dry by the owner/manager as well. The place is a shit show.

I guess I'll contribute again. The best worst (if that makes sense) truck I ever had was a 2000 Z71 GFX GMC Sierra. It was my first work truck. Engine lost a cylinder (literally snapped but we never opened it to find what exactly likely a connecting rod) and it still drove to the dealer. Unfortunately our next few GM trucks all lost their transmissions in one way or another, they were the notorious Chevy 1500 HD, and that's why we ran Ford for a while when my dad had his own business. Never tried Toyota as fleet vehicles. Cost was a major factor, at the time it was expensive to lease Toyota (mid 2000s) and fleet trucks get traded so often with so much depreciation attached the benefits weren't there to purchase them outright. Also the dealer was/is too far away for trucks that see on farm sector punishment. That's probably my biggest issue with Toyota where I live. Great build overall, but if something goes wrong we have one dealer covering a lot of territory and their reputation for getting things fixed the first time isn't good. It took that dealer three times to get the seal on my 2013 fixed so it didn't hum like a kazoo in a 30 mph headwind. Come to think of it that might of been the last time my truck saw the dealership lol. I've fixed everything else on my own.

Ironman Foamcell 3" lift, ARB dual compressor, GoPro mount, BadElf mount, Drive grab handle, RCI skids, Victory sliders, half rack, TuffStuff Alpha ll RTT, Dometic 75 Fridge, extra USB & Outlets

10+ hours in the dealer for a problem that should be fixed or 10 hours on the side of the road, is still 10 hours of an unreliable vehicle.
so I can't upload the video, but at times the truck wouldn't lock, the USB and other outlets have power after the truck is turned off, the truck tells me to turn it off when off or when running, Dealer pulled 7 codes. some days the information on the stereo screen works and some days it doesnt, some days I get information on my center dash screen and some days I dont. No parts have been replaced, but wires and connectors have been physically check.

I think Toyota can fix this, but time on the side of the road or time sitting in at dealer is still time the truck is not getting used.

Had a senior moment earlier. Thought I was reading "most reliable". Will try again.

W/O question, it was a 1978 Fiat 4 door sedan. Breaking, steering; handling were very good. The europeans have always done a good job there. Everything else was a bucket of shit. Fix-It-Again-Tony exited the U. S market sometime in the 80s. I was shocked to see them return, but not at all surprised to read the cars they brought back this time are as bad as what they sold before.
I've been to europe a dozen or so times. You see very few Fiats on the road over there, even in Italy.

Side note to that, I've been seeing a crap ton of Alfa's lately. I admit I do like the looks of the Giulia, but no way in hell am I willing to drop my line of credit on one.

The one local Alpha dealer in my area closed their doors 4 or 5 months ago. Would not be surprised to see this happen nation-wide.

Yup they seem to have taken a dive the past decade or so..not sure of the list but I know transmissions seem to be a weak point especially the CVT auto

I stand educated. A valid complaint there regarding reliability. At this point I hope they gave you a loaner while they work to fix it!

1979 Jeep CJ7. Hands down the worst and least reliable vehicle I’ve ever owned. Sold it over 30 years ago and still miss it for some reason.

Weird story, the US arm of an Italian company (Bremach) managed somehow to survive a bankruptcy and is going to start selling Russian based SUVs in the US? Seriously, they'll be UAZ chassis with Mercedes and Bosche off the shelf parts. It's going to be fun. They'll either be awesome or terrible.

A sales rep from one of my suppliers has a Guilia

He took it for a service and as he drove it out of the lot the engine died

Alfa said they will replace the engine under warranty and ordered a brand new engine

They didn't know how to install it and sent it to the Ferrari dealer in Vancouver to install

They gave him a full warranty on the new engine

I had a little Fiat Uno 1400, bought it with 60,000km and sold it with 331,000km on the clock, only replaced tires, brake pads and shocks

The exhaust tip still burned whitish grey, as cars did with leaded gas back then
