All British stuff with Lucas wiring, AKA the 'prince of darkness'.

Friends with those are why I went Miata.

A friend with a Mitsu and 5 transmissions is why I stayed Nissan, Toyota, Honda and Mazda.

The worst car I personally owned was a '67 El Camino that I picked up in '75 or so. It was pretty clapped out, and I 'paid the price' for not doing my pre purchase due diligence. I didn't own it very long.

Mine was a 1964 Rambler. My teenaged self killed it in a week. I drove it like it hadn't been driven in a long long time.

I'm not the Captain of the old team around here, but I'm likely in the starting lineup.

I take it that it wasn't a Grabber? Yea, they were still Mavericks, but a little massage and they were decent street runners for the dawn of the emissions era.

Wow that one is nice!! The one I had I bought for $500 it was my first car. Had a straight 6 manual choke. Left me stranded a few times.

1985 Mercury Cougar. Purchased brand new with about 5 miles on it. Returned to the dealership for erratic steering and handling. I was given a loaner (new demo). Car had a mind of its own. They kept in the shop for a month. Got a call one day to come in. When I got there I was asked if I wanted to keep the demo I'd been driving. The demo had 1500 miles on it when I got it. Long story short, I did some paperwork and was gone. Same terms nicer car. The original was returned to Mercury because a "factory defect". Mechanic later told me they could not get the car to align no matter what they did. Drove the new Cougar for a year and bought a 86 Olds 442. Never looked back.

Clearly you weren't taught how to use the proper tune up tools.

427 Ford is adequate. If a backyard project, a 460 from a Lincoln would be an easy score. Helped a friend stuff one of those in a Falcon a few years ago.

I spent hours fixing one of those for a girl in high school..... always was broken, and she never went out with me. Hate those things.
