Vin Diesel is the voice of the Giant too believe it or not and he was perfect for the role. The events leading up to the missile scene really make this moment very moving.

That opening from Pixar's 'Up' got me damp-eyed.

That's the closest I've been to crying over a movie since I ET died when I was a kid, haha!

If you don't draw blood, you're doing it wrong!
x2 on Grave of the Fireflies...I talked my G/F into watching it - "It's kind of like a Miyazaki film. Ghibli put it out, so you might like it..."

    Hachi was pretty sad too...

Philidelphia - bitter sweet ending, but sad.
a documentary called "the art of the steal", about a collection of art in, oddly, Philidelphia. ( doc from 2009)
And dear zachary..... messed up, frustrating, and sad.

(It also got a bit dusty in the theater when Wilson drifted away)

All streaming if you have netfilx right now.

Damn it, ok one more...... empire of the sun.

Hachi: A Dog's Tale was tough for me. Story of a dog that meets his master each day at the train station when he comes home from work. Man dies of a heart attack, and dog remains at station waiting. Based on true story. They have a stature of the dog at Tokyo train station. Also, Eight Below as a tough one. Gotta watch both if you're a dog lover.

That is a good and sad movie, often people forget the more dramatic side of Chaplin.

Nice thread, some great flicks mentioned for sure, but the one that always gets me is "The Champ", a great boxing movie from way back in '79.

It was shown to have the "strongest emotional response" after shown to viewers of over 250 movie clips.

If you've ever had a parent die, and have a heart, it's heartwrenching.

*Don't watch the clip if you think you may want to watch the whole thing.

Well reading up on it, the plots seem sorta similar but no, different movies.

It's definitely the most fucked up, saddest movie, I've ever seen.
