Adding a grab handle to the drivers side. What a life changer.

Really is odd we don't have one standard on the side where someone will always be getting in.

I bought the third gen kit. I assume it works on all 3rd gen models. It screws onto the back side of the lock/handle mechanism inside the tailgate, then runs through a couple wire harnesses out the bottom of the tailgate and under the truck. I chose to wire mine into the driver-side lock mechanism so that my tailgate unlocks with one press on my key fob. On my 2008 I ran it to the passenger-side wire, and it unlocked with the other doors on the second button press.

I finally found a camper top last week! Got the A.R.E. Top with the ugly black accents. It’s bright-ass-white and looks terrible on my tan truck… and I love it.

How’d you do an on board water system? Seems super useful.

I'm honestly not sure who makes it...probably some Chinese company. There are a bunch of different ones out there. I like this one because it folds flat and can drop in the door pocket easily. I have one in either rear door pocket.

The system wasn't finished in the 2nd picture and it was missing the bracket that I cnc cut. I hid the pump under the bed, but I'm thinking to make a set up in which the pump is attached to the tank as an all-in-one kit for sale. To remove the system would be as simple as unthreading 2 wing nuts and sliding it out. The tank could be painted black and used as a portable solar shower.. With pressure that matches the pressure in your home. 5.5 gallon capacity

I consider all these minor upgrades combined together to be one major upgrade to the bed of the Taco... .

$41 Draw Tite Receiver, OEM bed lights/switch, added 2nd gen header rail, OEM Bed mat, 8 more bed rail anchor points, milk crate, custom cut tarp used as a soft cover when needed.
Roughly $325 worth of add ons makes the bed of my truck 100% functional in just about any situation.. not much for aesthetics , but for the money it makes the utility of the truck much better.... which is why i bought it in the first place...

Ceramic glass coat by simonize. Hadn't had to wash or wax the truck since owned. Been over 2 years and the truck's finish still looks great. You can't find a paint chip anywhere on it.
