Just traded in my 2010 for a new 2021 Off Road.

Loved my 2010 and have just spent about $1,500 in accessories to get me back to what I had.

So far I’ve added a tri-fold top (and supported one of our vendors here!), bought a bed extender (from the dealer at a discount when I bought the truck), an OEM bed mat (again from the dealer using my “just bought a truck” discount), and the auto lock kit for the tailgate.

I figure it’ll be easier for me to add that tailgate lock kit to the truck now that it’s new than wait a year and have to deal with dirt and undercoating oil.

Speaking of which, the last new truck mod will be a date with the local fluid film guy this fall for the first of its to-be annual coatings. I’m not going to be dealing with another “is my frame going to rot out” experience like I did with the 2010.

My only frustration with the 2021 is, where the heck did all my cubbies go? I knew the ones in the bed were gone, but I used to have two in the dash that were perfect for my garage door opener and spare change.

That’s easy. I replaced my passenger with an upgraded model.

Mod: clutch accumulator removal. 37,000 miles absolutely hating how the truck shifted and now it's absolutely perfect.

Accessories: Lomax trifold hard tonneau, factory bed lights, port option puddle lights

    Best option choice: LED headlights

Worst choice: super white, it's really common to have them peel, apparently.

Everything is pretty good as it is. If I had to choose...1 - transmission that was more "normal", ie, not constantly shifting and searching for gears. 2 - remote locking tail gate.

Most of mine center around the cargo area, but I'm an outdoor gear junkie:

    1) Bed Mat
    2) Factory Bed Lighting Kit
    3) Add bed rail behind cab (the 2nd gen one is a direct bolt on)
    4) Bed Rack
    5) Tailgate pad
    6) Window visors (highly recommend the Weathertechs)
    7) Subaru tweeter upgrade (never really noticed how much better these sound till I rode in my buddies truck the other day)
    8) If you tow, the Convert-A-Ball 5000 lb cushioned trailer hitch is a MUST.

Android radio was the best thing I did. I have full use of everything that a andoid tablet has right as my radio.

tempted to ask about your favorite upgrade to your passenger... but I think that's for a different forum
