I've done a lot of fishing growing up in a pond behind my house. I had a little two man boat I would get in and float around and fish. I did this all the time, especially during peak seasons. Walking down to the pond was a road that was cut to two fields further down and it wasn't uncommon to see several snakes scurrying away as I walked down. Eventually I would cut my own smaller trail to get to the water faster and would see water moccasins and cotton mouths shoot back and forth across my trail. It was a common occurrence.

One time I tossed a lure out a good distance into the water and a moccasin literally jumped straight out of the middle of the still water. And several times I would see the moccasins "rolling" with a brim fish or small bass fighting the fish to death, to eat. They would be coiled around the fish just rolling and rolling, sometimes right next to my little boat. I would click on the trolling motor and get out of there fast.

But the wildest story I have is this; One day I was out in the middle of the pond and heard something "running" really fast through the leaves. I figured a deer or most likely a squirrel. It was neither. It was, from what I could tell, a "black racer" flying down towards the bank of the pond. I was about 50 yards away in the water watching this. He came right to the bank and literally erected himself up three feet at least off the ground and stared dead at me. I mean I literally felt like this snake looked into my soul! We both stared at each other for like a solid minute or two. Both of us were curious of each others next move. So I turned on the trolling motor and scooted along way across the pond to the other side, freaked out by this snake. As I rode away I looked back and he dropped down and took off back into the woods just as fast as he showed up. That was 14-15 years ago and I fish that pond every now and then still wary of that racer down there and what his intentions were.

When I was a kid I found a rifle in the woods behind the house. I was pumped I thought a found a civil war gun. I was probably 8 turns out it was a not and there were several more guns where I found that one.

The previous owner of the house was drunk climbing a tree stand out back and managed to blow his hand off. As much as anyone could assume was that a family member dumped his shit in the woods after that.

Stopped at the top a long ass mountain bike climb to catch my breath when a redtail hawk dropped off a branch not 5 feet from me and snatched a squirrel from the ground. I freaked, he freaked ...squirrel got away!

Another ride I stopped to catch my breath under a tree, looked up and there was a huge owl staring at me. It was sitting on the branch above my head. I could have jumped and touched it, that's how close.

Most memorable though was when I came down a trail and heard something big scrambling up the brush. Turns out it was two juvenile black bear who I spooked. I held my ground and let them be on their way. Got on my bike and slowly started back on the trail only to turn the corner and see momma bear in front of me, staring right at me. Scariest moment of my life. Kept my head down, slowly got off my bike and walked away backward keeping one eye on momma bear. I took off like a banshee once I got some distance. Whew!

While clearing my property one day I saw this rabbit with a few baby bunnies come out of the tree line. Well right behind them was a bobcat ready to feast on one of the rabbits until the big cat saw me at that point it retreated into the woods. I thought that was cool the baby bunnies get to live another.... At which point a hawk swoops down and takes one of the rabbits off for a ride and I'm sure a very filling breakfast.

I used to catch these back when I lived in New York City. There was a weeded out abandoned lot with hundreds of them. We kept them in 5 gallon paint buckets and fed them crickets. Every once in a while one would fly out of the bucket and scare the crap out of us. We were 13. :D

Dudes who dress like chicks WTF... I think it's time to add more choices to the Male & Female options!

Ima have to bust your bubble a little bit. Some girls are talented enough to pee into a urinal while standing upright. I saw a girl do it one night at a field party back when in high school. I know for a fact she didnt have a twig nor berries there.

That would have been awesome to see! Ive seen a Bald eagle swoop and catch a fish not 50yds from where we were seated fishing.

Different story I was bass fishing with a topwater plastic frog and out of nowhere this Owl snatches the frog and tries to fly off with it! I yanked it out of its claw and the owl landed across the pond looking at me like WTF!

Camping on the Wisconsin river one night we saw a faint bluish glow toward the shore. The surface of the water was glowing with bioluminescent algae. More common in salt water, but there are freshwater varieties as well.
