YOU WILL BE MISSED Satoshi Grill, FX-R retros, husky liners, bed bolt d-rings, TRD short throw shifter, 2.5 Fox Coil overs, AP UCA's, AP Expo rear leaf with Fox 2.0 shocks, Extended SS brake lines, AP kick-out sliders, 265/75/16 on Konig Countersteers, AllPro Apex front bumper and Zip Ties.
I have one in mine and its definitely for the alarm. I have tried the button and I still don't know wtf it does. Normally I don't bite on that aftermarket stealer markup crap but they made me an offer I couldn't refuse.

from what I understand there is a 1/8" jack they can plug in to customize the settings on the alarm.

Its a kill switch for the engine. Wont start with out the key. They put them in every car and you have to pay like $3-400 for it. Um waste imo.

What key? The regular truck key or a special key for the system?

Like a four pin key that makes the connection. W/O the connection engine will not start. Just a little plastic thing.

I agree that it's probably KARR alarm that's been "deactivated". I had one on mine from my dealer, not too happy about it, but removed it. Word of warning, if you remove, you will need to figure out where the starter disable is connected.

Well I called the dealer and it is a Karr alarm system. The alarm guy told me that it is blocked. If I remember correctly, my truck horn was honking when pressing the lock in the remote twice but now I am not sure, I don't remember I am almost positive it was honking.

I then pressed the button in the box and it does not honk anymore and I cant get it to honk again by pressing the button again. The alarm guy said that it was probably activated and once I pushed the button I deactivated it and since it is blocked, it won't activate again.

Look similar to mine. The dealer I bought my truck at installs every vehicle on their lot with Rocklegde Security Systems. You have to pay extra if you want it activated.

It's a dealer add on to add to the profit margin. Your truck does not need it. The dealer pays 20 bucks or so for the "security device" and puts it on all of the cars in their inventory. If you don't want to pay the hundreds of dollars they usually charge for it, they simply disable the device not bothering to remove it. I've seen some of these systems actually cause ignition problems in vehicles, however, I've never seen the one that is pictured, so it may be ok. Useless, but ok. JMO.
