Guessing that is phone (bluetooth) volume. Aftermarket install by previous owner?

That's your "Bro lean" adjuster switch with display. You can see by the display, you're too low in the front.

When you press it, the car will accelerate to 88 miles and hour and dissappear amidst a halo in the fabric of space-time, and you'll find yourself in 1953 with a giant clock tower, and malt shops on the corner.

Technically not aftermarket its a port installed available accessory, should see blulogic underneath your bluetooth on your phone.

    Attached is the install guide.

Thats exactly right. I bought a Bluelogic system from Ebay for like $20, has a Toyota part number and came in a Toyota box. Its kinda annoying but it works well for phone calls. On my phone it is called "BLU Logic 1211" in the pairing screen. You can use it to play music from you phone over the front speakers as well. The annoying part is that when its connected, anytime the Iphone screen lights up, whether from someone calling, me plugging in the charger, or just moving it from the passenger seat to the cupholder, the bluetooth kicks on and turns the radio off. If Im listening to an interesting story on NPR or rocking out cruising down the highway, I have to pick up the phone and fiddle with it for the radio to turn back on.

The newer ones say 1411 instead of 1211, dunno if they really addressed any of your concerns however.
