No dash lights come on? I was thinking abs kill

 

My '14 work truck has a "Rear sensor mute" button in that same spot.

 

What happened to people using their mirrors ? Or actually turning there head to bad up

Looks like an LED from an alarm. Possibly doubles as a valet button if it is actually a button.

 

Just put some duct tape over it, problem solved! In all seriousness I'm betting the alarm is a safe bet.

 

Finally, someone old school like me!

 

I depend on mirrors to back up stuff, camper, trailer, boat...Im old school though...

I have a whole shitton of mystery wire under my dash with fuses in them and haven't taken the time yet to pull everything apart to figure out where the hell it goes. Kind of scared to, actually. :/

Not sure what to do with it since I received 1 key and 1 toyota keyfob.

 

I don't know much about remote starts, do I.

 

I see those all the time. Gems they are. I would pull it out. Most likely just T-tapped in. You will need to cut out the starter kill and throw a butt connector in to reconnect it. Then just leave the LED in the dash to fill the hole.

 

dude that's a win. you got a remote start all you have to do is get the fob

 

that's the valet switch so you can turn the alarm/remote start off when you drop it off with the valet. so they don't get confused not knowing how to operate it

 

keep tracing the wire down it should lead to a box. the box will have the numbers you need to order the fob. if you hold the button down for 5 to 8 seconds the led should stay lit. that's how you put it in valet mode
