What is this by my rear differential?

I just saw this hanging down from a group of wires. Has a body clip type attachment at the end with a plastic tip covered by a rubber boot. Any ideas?

 

The angles on your pics are throwing me off! Do you have an e-locker? That looks like it could be the factory breather for the actuator. If that's what it is, the plastic piece is supposed to be stuck in a frame crossmember under the bed. Looks like it pulled out of its factory location - lots of articulation?

Give me a minute, I think I've got a pic of the factory set-up on my '12 before I did the breather mod.

i guess i will have to suggest blinker fluid line, it plugs into the rotator transistor cuff manifold.

 

From memory, it is the e-locker actuator breather line. If you follow it back into the wiring harness it goes back to the actuator. The line is a smaller diameter harder material where it ties into the actuator. If its the blinker fluid line I'm screwed 'cause I tied it into a piece of 5/16 fuel line and vented it behind the rear taillight assembly along w/ the rear diff breather!
