I know the real answer. It's there so when your trying to tighten the top strut bolts and the wrench slips off it gives you something to cut your hand wide open

I like how you can cuss in this forum. Lots of forums get all weirded out when you do that. The mods run a tight ship here when it comes to certain things, but treat us like adults with others. It's fantastic.

OP - I have no idea what the fuck that thing is

Yes, because what could be more destructive than treating others with consideration and respect? :notsure: It seems to me most folks hollerin' about "political correctness" just want to be ill-mannered and offensive without getting called on it.

Ha Ha, If you think being an adult means no one gets to tell you how to behave, you are in for a world of disappointment sir.

Thank you sir, I am an adult. And I think a big part of what's wrong with the world is when people try to control one another. I'd prefer that free people make mistakes, learn from them, and take personal responsibility. Americans are becoming brainless followers who don't know how to act unless an authority tells them. We used to be a nation who relished freedom--now we applaud conformity and group think.

He made the mistake of using patently offensive language, got called on it, and now has a chance to learn from it and take responsibility. Don't see the problem here.

Place to hang a shop light when you're working on the front suspension. Wish the passenger side had it. Maybe I can get some welded on.

I also second the note on it being there as a hand slicer.

Probably because it's a random clip in an area where it makes little sense and has no obvious function whatsoever.

But I dunno, could be wrong.

Yes - I was just curious as to its purpose. Sounds like its just some part of the automation progress and I can just ignore it. Thanks!

Cruising the forums, I found this old discussion, and wanted to put in my 2¢ worth:

Don't you fucking dare call me a caucasian! I'm a honkey and damn proud of it.
That's BS. If someone is seriously being offensive, he's looking to get called on it so he can say it louder. The hypocrisy of the political correct crap is that those who are so vocal on being correct are just as racist as those they put down for saying something off color. ...Oh shit. I said color.

OK, who's racist here? The truth is, we are all racists. To put it more broadly, we all discriminate in every choice we make on every level, every day of our lives. We have choices, and we discriminate against those options that we perceive as not in our best interest. That power of thoughtful choice makes us all human, and brothers under the skin, because everyone does it.

Political correctness and tact are 2 different things. I know you guys like to play around like the 17 year olds that you are, but tact will take you places in life while PC will hold you back.

As a general rule, if you wouldn't use the term to the face of the very type of person it describes, then tact says you shouldn't use the term period.
