    Hey all, new guy here.
I just recently hopped on the Taco Train and purchased a 2006 with some aftermarket lighting, I'm assuming two halogen fog lights and two halogen fog lights

(left to right is foglight - broken spotlight - working spotlight - foglight)
It has been a while since I have messed around with aftermarket lights, but I felt the need to make a change because these are wonky as all getout.

For starters, the fog lights are mounted directly to the bumper so they point almost straight up (as I discovered driving through a snowstorm). I was able to jerry rig some metal shims to angle them down a bit but they still point a little high for my liking, I'll probably try cutting some washers in half as a more permanent solution but I was wondering what others would suggest.

I would like to keep them on the truck because they're useful to have.

I do plan on replacing the two spotlights in the middle, they are not in the best of shape, and would probably place a 12" light bar in their place.

Before I go about yanking out wires left and right, I wanted to understand how the current setup is wired and what all the components are. I found this component and have no idea what it does or what it's called, but the wires connect to the lights

***Okay I'm pretty sure it's a starter solenoid switch but I have no idea why its part of the wiring setup***

***edit again, I found something similar that puts out 100a of continuous power so I'm guessing it was just used as a heavy duty relay for the old-school power hungry halogen bulbs***
I appreciate any advice I can get, thanks!
