I'm installing my new stereo and this little guy was taped up and wrapped in foam with the rest of the factory wiring. What is it?

Hi folks - I bought a new OR from Hawaii and shipping it to California. Toyotas in HI doesn't come with XM since they don't have XM service in HI. I wonder if the blue connector is left unplugged on mine and I simply have to plug it in to get XM as a source? MHersh328 - can you please let me know where should I look for that blue connector? Is it in the back of the head unit? Thank you in advance

It was indeed behind the head unit. My unit didn't have XM either, so I'm guessing the connector will be there for you too.

I’m pretty sure there was a company selling a kit for 2nd Gen Tacomas for around $60 to connect to the stock connector down in the kick panel. But it also depends on your year tacoma. If you don’t have shark fin antenna on your roof then you probably don’t have it.
