I just changed my upstream O2 sensor and noticed this plug hanging off to the side of the transmission with no apparent place to plug it in.

    1996 Tacoma 3.4, 5 speed, 4x4.

    What is it for?

BUCKLE UP! It makes it harder for Aliens to pull you out of your Truck.
I'm gonna guess speed sensor plug for an automatic trans but I'm probably wrong.

What does the FSM say? It has a full wiring diagram as well as a plug shape chart to let you ID it for sure.
