Just picked up a used '13 tacoma, and found this extra button. After a google search, I don't see this button pictured on any other tacomas, so probably aftermarket. I followed the wires as far as I could, but it disappears behind the foot well panel. Any idea what it's for?

Edit: added extra photo. The wires are purple, brown, and black.

Keep following the wires, it's not a factory switch.

The blue button? Usually an alarm system (KARR is what most use here). It's a dealer installed option and if the buyer chooses to buy it, the salesman has this plug they put into the back to activate it or vice versa.

Yep, dealer installed KARR alarm, and your wiring is now all screwed up from it.

    One more photo added.
Oh crap, what year is it?!
You are absolutely right. I just googled KARR alarm button and found a bunch of matching photos. How will I know if it is activated or not? My keyfob doesn't trigger the traditional chirp of an alarm system. Just the standard subtle beep toyotas make.
    Screwed up, how so?

Dug these up from when I purchased my Tacoma. Not sure how to tell if it's activated or not. Does the light blink when the truck is off?
