    dude...pretty sure?
its certainty haha. With your build dealer won't even know what they are looking at haha.

    Best of luck though brother.
Perhaps when it was leaking it was damaged, like something hit it.
Or when replacing the o ring you over torqued it and damaged something?

Probably I should have just let it leaked and took it to the 4x4 shop on the 28th to fix the leaking. Now I have a whole new set of problems like getting it there.

    Have you tried:
    -Pulling it out
    -Pressing the locker button
    -Re-install

Yes for the life of me I can't figure out what it is or how it goes in. It doesn't retract and only extends

If I could at least figure out what part it is maybe I could find how it goes in the differential

This sounds stupid, but have you tied to drive the truck turning slightly side to side? Sometimes the locker wil get stuck and the truck needs to be rolling to disengage.

Happens to me every once in a while.

if you have it taken out it disengages right?
any way to put the plug in so it doesn't leak but keep the connector for the solenoid disconnected maybe? That way you can at least drive?

I can't find anything on it in the manual so not sure, but could it be the solenoid is damaged? Or is it retracted already and it just seems like it should retract more?
I think someone mentioned earlier it works on a switched ground? Try following the cable, maybe it got damaged somewhere and is grounding out on the frame or something so completing the circuit.

He's correct. I'm not sure if the 3rd gens have the same disengagement process, but my prerunner is the same way. The locker will stay engaged until I turn side to side while rolling for a minute or two.

It looks just like the same set up as in the jeep rubicon lockers. (But better being a Toyota) and electric and not vacume. There is a plate inside that pulles the switch out and the switch has to get behind the plate. Which you must disassemble the 3rd member to reinstall the switch correctly. learned the hard way on that one. Never have had the one on my 4runner apart being a Toyota but I'm guessing the same set up. If it is like that don't drive it.
