This might work with a few LIGHT taps to the side where the actuator is...

Was thinking something more like this... but to each their own.

    Mostly stuff I built.
Unplug the other connector that will drop the voltage to the coil that applies the locker. Chock the front wheels, jack the truck up and harshly rotate one of the rear wheels forward and backwards a few times and it should unlock.

The one that you replaced the o-ring on is nothing but a switch to turn the light on the dash on and tell the computer it is locked.

There is not a normal so to speak solenoid in these lockers. There is just a electromagnetic coil that collapses a spring and slides the physical locking part together. Look at the picture on the side of the carrier opposite of the ring gear there is a stamped steel collar with a flange on it that is perpendicular to the carrier. That flange is attached to the locking ring and moves left to right with it. The plunger of your leaking switch also rides against that flange.IMG_2610.jpg

Well, guys thank you:hattip: for all the help it is now fixed and to thos wondering @Aussiedogs1 was right it goes behind a plate. When the plate moves foward activating the E locker it pulls on the plunger and tells the ECU that the E Locker is engaged. The best part was I did it all with out having to take the 3rd member apart.

Yes sir that was correct. I used a little wood to hold the mechanism open until I could get it behind the plate. Then a simple twist made the wood slip off. Then a simple gear oil change flush the wood out. Nothing like putting some wood into a new truck to get her running right

Oh yeah a huge relief. All it needed was for me to give her some wood and she was all happy again  I can build you a race engine no problem, but what is suspension and drivetrain I am screwed (with custom stuff or advance stuff) Direct bolt on or replacement I am good still.

Reviving this thread. I’m having the same issue I regeared and it’s in the locked positions. I’ll take the connector out. But where does the pin need to be? On top of the plate like in the pic ima use for reference. Or under it?
