what is this harness???

What is this harness for i just found it sitting there unused. i have a 2007 base 2wd 2.7l taco. any help would be appreciated.

 

That fell off the back of one of your factory blanks that are just above it. It would normally go to the switch for whatever option/feature that you don't have. Could be fog lights, etc. Most models use the same harness so the plugs are there, just have no switch.

Ex, if that's for the fog lights (assuming you have none) then all you have to buy is the light housing and the switch. Behind the bumper should be the plugs for the bulbs. The vehicle harness is already installed.

They so that because its cheaper to have 1 universal main vehicle body wore harness with everything than to make individual harness for each seperate truck.

 

I think he'd also need a relay and possibly fuse...

Regular cabs aren't pre wired for fog lights. at all

im thinking that might be a for the power mirrors or something...i don't recall seeing this on my truck....

 

yah its not for the fogs thats for sure. its not hanging like that either. it actually mounts on top of the black box that has all your plugs and fuses in the front i had to tuck it back up and clip it in after the dtrl relay and jumper install. If i find out ill let you guys know

Its harness to plug in your flux capacitor.

 

Do your interior lights go on and off like a plain switch, or do they fade in and out?

 

They fade. But you know what it seems to be attached or taped on whatever to that wire that runs to the fader. I was going to mention that.
