Back in 2019 I ordered a set from Cody (@cnote4l). He hasn't posted since 2023 but his site is still around. I'd reach out to him.

If you're looking for the OEM Toyota splash guard, it is -

Those are the aprons, which I have found and probably need, but the piece that I am looking for looks to bolt up in back of the radiator support and is made of rigid plastic. I just cant find any diagrams!

My bad, should've read your entire post lol.

So yeah, passenger side is the hard plastic cover for the washer reservoir.

The driver side is more elusive. I can't locate it. I do remember speaking with a body shop when I tweaked my front bumper. They said it was not available and was only listed on early models, something about covering a vac canister.

Try partsouq.com and use your VIN. Might have better luck than I. Cheers.

Thanks for the reply. If I had a pick-a-part near where I lived I would just go find this thing, but I will keep searching, and post back when I find what it is, unless anyone else chimes in before hand!

Could it possibly be this? It is really difficult to tell from the diagram...

Don’t think there is one for the drivers side. Believe it’s because the battery mount occupies down into that space. I recall doing this searching myself since it looks like the piece is missing. Arrived that it simply doesn’t exist.

Ya, I think I am coming to the same conclusion, but it looks odd, like something is missing, especially with all of the threaded bolt holes/mounting points, etc. My truck has not been in any reported accidents, and I know the previous and only prior owner well, who has no recollection of anything being removed.

IDK, if anyone else has a relatively stock 01-04 4WD could you post a picture of the front area under the driver's side fender? That way I can close this mystery!

Okay, not to belabor the point, but I looked under the fender of a friend's '98 (mine is an '03) and saw a coffee can-shaped object bolted there. It's probably some sort of vacuum canister. I'm not sure if it was omitted from later first gen models by design or intentionally removed by a mechanic. The only previous owner is a close friend, and I can say without a doubt he wouldn't have intentionally removed anything, but who's to say his mechanic wouldn't have?

To follow up, it looks like in earlier gen 1 models there is a charcoal filter or vacuum reservoirs thig (looks like a tin can), but newer gen 1's don't have anything bolted in there. It just looks strange because all of the studs/mounting points in the panel were not removed and it looks completely different from the passenger side which houses the windshield cleaner reservoirs.

Nothing belongs in that area of the driver side for 01-04. Case closed lol

Where did they move the vacuum canister for later model gen 1s?

Was the actuator turned into electronic actuator perhaps?

I have the canister buried under there in my rig

On my 98 I have that passenger panel, it protects the windsheild washer bottle and pump.
On the drivers side is a metal vacuum can with a single vacuum hose attached to it that goes to the top of the intake plenum. There is no cover on the drivers side.

This is exactly what I have observed, they just did something different for later models, but did not delete the mounting points!
