What is this noise?? 29k miles on 2018.

Really trying to figure out what this clicking/popping noise is going on in the front end of my 2018 Trd off road 4wd Tacoma. Only 29k miles. Traction control has been randomly coming on. Please don’t be expensive! Any help appreciated! Thank you guys.

Strange liquid on both sides of suspension as seen in video, small amount of smoke coming out from wheelwell.

 

immediate thought is a brake line squirting brake fluid. Just what comes to mind from that short video. Only liquid could squirt again that inner flaps...am I wrong?Sitting still at idle, I mean what else could it be? Only fluid I know exist out there. Dripping down from the top maybe, man these fluid leaks are not always so easy. All kinds of shit coming into play. Clank clank clank at idle is not a good sound.

OP needs to check brake fluid level.

 

That may very well be a timing cover or a valve cover leak. That's a lot of fluid to on that frame.

 

I guess I’ll take it into dealership tomorrow. Hopefully whatever it is is under warranty. Thank you for your help!

Ah shit. Can it make a 10 mile drive to the dealership?

 

Did the fluid and sound appear at the same time?

 

Call the toyota care 800 number road side assistance and have them tow it in. Its free.

 

I’m honestly not sure. Started hearing it today as I pulled out of a parking lot and then got home and noticed fluid.

 

How many have you driven since you noticed it? Any increase in fluid build up? Anything abnormal driving?

On the freeway I couldn’t hear it. I’ve only driven 10 miles since hearing it.

 

I wouldn't drive it another foot or start the engine
