I started hearing this noise a few days ago and I can’t find where it’s coming from! Do you guys have any idea or have had the same issue ? https://youtube.com/shorts/

I can only hear it when traveling 5-40mph

Have you crawled under and given everything thing a look?
I’d start with the driveshaft and carrier assembly.

Rear driveshaft U-joint would be my guess.

Does it get faster or slower with the speed of the engine or tires, or is it when you go over bumps? If it's either of those that could help narrow it down.

A few OE parts from fancy trucks
And including the year and model of truck might help too.

Sometimes spare tire mounting chains make odd noises. But some models have cables as I understand it.

I’m getting the spare tire replaced and I currently have the chain half way down.. maybe I should start by putting it up

    It’s a 2011 SR5 V6 manual trans

I'd start by putting the chain all the way up, but I doubt it's your spare tire. How about your carrier bearing that goes around your driveshaft? If that's worn out maybe it's making the squeaking/rattling noise.

Not sure if the SR5 has greasable u joints , if they do try greasing them 1 at a time to see if noise stops or changes. That might help to determine if it's a u joint issue. If they are not geasable perhaps u can spray some lube inside by the caps ? Then diagnose from there .
