So I got a 2012 4x4 TRD Off Road and I love it. I noticed a few months after getting her that the passenger side headlight isn't mounted completely. In fact its missing some important mounting contacts. This has caused one of the top headlight mounts to crack. You can see the pictures below.

Driver side with the piece in place.

Also any idea how one loses a piece like that?

I would stop at my local pull a part or hit eBay after researching the part numbers. Should be fairly simple to replace the broken/missing parts.

My guess, is that the truck was in a front-end accident before you got it, and it wasn't repaired COMPLETELY to save money. Do you have a car-fax report on it?

Pull-a-part type yards would rarely have vehicles newer than 2005. You would have to go to a regular over-the-counter type yard for that part. Still cheaper than the dealer. You might also need to replace that white plastic piece (HL housing?).
