    Hi Folks,

I'm new here. Never knew about this forum until I saw this rusted bracket underneath my 16' low-mileage taco and thought I should ask about it. The bracket stands against the black painted steel near the rear axle. Anything to be concerned about? Would Toyota replace it under warranty?

 Have been looking to buy a new Jeep JL or a Taco OR. The new JLs have a recall out for bad welds. Do the Tacos have similar issues with welds and/or rust on the Gen 3’s?

Can you take it off? I would pull it off, clean it up and shoot it with some black rustoleum if it really bothers you. I wouldnt waste a day of my life sitting around at the dealer for that

Cut it off and throw it in the scrap heap.
