I’d say it would depend on what you need it for. If it runs decent and you want something to beat until it dies, slap some brakes and a quick rattle can job on it and call it good. A restoration…maybe not. I wouldn’t pay much, maybe haul away as is for free? If it runs and drives good other than the brakes, then maybe a few hundred bucks.

If it ran smooth, everything except maybe AC worked, good compression check and trans fluid wasn't burnt smelling, I think about it as a woods runner. Locally.

IF my need was a beater.

That replacement frame hasn't been cared for either, which makes the rest suspect. Not to mention the dime store rocker panel patches and the ratchet strap bed supports.

'needs paint' is the understatement of the year.

That’s like something you don’t register and keep on the farm to haul feed around before it returns to the Earth as ferric oxide.

If I did buy it it would likely be my beater and an extra engine and tranny when the ones in my 01 ate the bullet.

If the engine and tranny are good then like you said, it’s worth a bit just in that. If it was gonna be a daily…I think I’d pass…that’s just for me though. If you’re getting it for spare parts but to drive around as a beater/trash hauler/wheeling rig why not if you can get it for a decent price. I’d offer $500 - $1000 if the parts you need are in great operating condition and just know what the rest is.

That's a free truck. You're doing someone a favor if you make their problem your problem.

Frame replaced? They didn’t bother taking care of it afterwards.
I’d buy it as a farm truck, but not for the road. $500-600 max. Just because it has heat and 4x4.
