hello, I have got an office partition wall /movable wall, 8 feet tall, soundproofed and about 70 feet long

Got this in a lot and since I have no use for it, I plan to sell it locally... But how much is that thing worth? Looks like this and you can slide the panels around when you don't need the wall

so any office guy here can give me an idea of what it is worth?

    thank you

Find a man with an over opinioned big mouth wife that won't shut up and he will give you ten thousand bucks for it. Seriously though, you might want to find a site that sells used office stuff. Might get a better idea of what it is worth too.

What someone would pay for it. Not many are looking for things like that.

Or have the space for a 70 foot long soundproof partition.

yeah, and mind you, it's heavy as feeeeeck. Must have a really strong building framework too.... not for the average typical house... Would be fitting for a restaurant or convention center or a large office room

I've measured again today and it's actually 80 feet long

    70 feet? Damn that's big!

Was that behind Door #1, Door #2, or Door #3, or ALL three???

Maybe you could have a carpenter build some legs for them and sell them as tables.

Operable partition. I install them all the time. Usually they need to have structural steel beams above to support the system. I don't typically buy them, I just install what the GC supplies (I'm a drywall sub) but I would not doubt that it cost 20 or 30k brand new. Maybe more. 70 feet is huge for an operable partition, I'm usually installing 20-40 feet. Do you have the track and the hanger system as well? It needs to be installed by someone that really knows what they are doing. Usually an engineer has to be involved in the design and shop drawing process. This is like selling a bridge... you will probably have it for 10 years before finding someone willing to buy it. They are typically made to order to the exact dimensions of the room. My company does office fit ups and to be honest, when the client is spending millions in fitting up an office space it's probably just easier to have the company quote a new one.

My suggestion is to find the name of the company that sold the partition (there is probably a plaque/badge on it somewhere) and call them and see if they can broker a sale for you.

It will need to get shipped, engineered install by the original company or similar... gotta be honest, if my company had to remediate one of these things it would probably just go in the dumpster.

A waste of time. Like said above, if you're building something that needs a wall like that, you won't waste your time buying used.

Yeah, I have the tracks and everything that goes with it. No doubt you have to have a very sturdy building to install that... it's so damn heavy and huge!

Very practical. At least you can say you tried before you give it the toss.

    99.99% true.

But Robert Irvine might like it for one of his 'Restaurant Impossible' re habs. :D
