What is this, where does it go?

There's a vacuum line that comes off the front of the intake plenum on my 2.7, runs through what looks like a check valve, then splits to what look like a couple of VSVs. Then the vacuum lines dive deep and I can't trace them.

I'm chasing a possible vacuum leak. These lines are not on the vacuum diagrams, but they sure seem like vacuum lines. I'd love to know if I need to chase these all the way down, or if I should look somewhere else for my problem.

Figured it out - looks like it's vacuum for my auto locking front hubs. One vsv to engage it, and one to disengage it.

I'm gonna cap the hose before the splitter and see if my symptoms go away.

 

Look underneath the hood and there should be a sticker/diagram for vac lines.

 

I looked - there's no 20 year old sticker lurking under my hood. I'm not even sure if it's the original hood.

 

May not be OEM then. Mine is towards the end where it latches up. It's 16 years old.
