I bought my Tacoma used from a dealer a couple weeks ago. I found this in the back. I don’t really listen at music ( I know I am weird). I listen to talk radio and sports most of the time. Anyway, this is Polk Audio. I see where a amplifier was installed underneath my driver side seat. The previous owner took the amplifier, but these speakers are still in the back. It’s a little dusty, but otherwise in great condition.

Might get $200 if you can find somebody in town that wants them. That box will require some permanent modification that many people won’t want to do (cut/remove the car seat anchor points on the back wall) and it may not even work with the power sliding rear window (just by the picture)

Not very much. Used sub market is saturated and those are standard “normal” subs and look a bit old so not much value. My guess it that youll get tired of seeing them in your garage and think about throwing them away before they sell for the price you want

So those are polk DB series, they are from 2014-2015 ish. When new they sold for a round $80 each. The box was probably around $140ish.

I would say you'll probably get around $100-$150 for a local sale, lower if you cant find someone who wants the box.

I vote you get yourself a small amp and use them. Sounds like the wiring is still there so most of the work is already done. Even if you don’t listen to music the sub will add depth to the overall sound.

Yep, all wiring is still there. I have thought about that also. It looks like the amp he used was under the driver side seat. There is some large wiring that run under there that has nothing connected.

I posted it on Facebook marketplace for $200, and actually have had a fair amount of interest so far. I will see what happens with it. Honestly I would even take 150 for it. After that I would probably just take it out and give it to my son who is 16, and we could maybe make it fit in his car trunk

Luckily a lot of people have 3rd gen’s at this point since they’re on the 6th year of production. GLWS

You may be able to expand your market by removing the mounting box.

These are typically custom built to fit the location in a vehicle.

Maybe ensure this is disconnected from the battery like ASAP...just in case he installed without a fuse.

The wires that are under the seat are as follows: 1 big red wire- power I am guessing. A thick red and yellow wire that I assume come from the head unit, and 4 speaker wires that go back to dual woofer

I’m not really sure what the thick red and yellow wire was used for. Is your HU stock or aftermarket?

It was stock when I bought it, but I changed it to an aftermarket when I got it.
