    Hey guys.

I've been reading through the manual and have tried searching the interwebs, but I can't seem to figure out what this is. It looks like a light and it has a button, but when I push it nothing happens. What is it / what does it do?

Dealer installed alarm system. The dealer I got my truck from puts it on all the cars on their lot, but when you buy the vehicle, they disable it instead of taking the trouble to uninstall; unless you pony up to keep it in which case they leave it working instead of disabling it. Mine flashes blue.

Did you buy it at Toyota of Orange? That's where I got mine.

I see. Mine doesnt flash at all, but now that I know it can I'm going to try to figure out how to enable it (sounds like it's possible).

I purchased the truck at Miller in Anaheim.

I believe they company Toyota uses in socal is Rockford alarm. I took the stickers off of my doors. But I think it's Rockford. If not just call Toyota or drive by a dealer and ask lol

Covered in stickers and chrome stick-ons for extra horse torques and foot powers. Icon sticker gets me tons of travel, dozens of milimeters.
Ugh I spent a few minutes on that dealer lot. Slimey bunch of dirtbags there.

I used to go to Miller's service dept. Until they were supposed to replace my head unit under warranty "ordered" a new one and then the guy skipped my calls for a few weeks till I gave up. I only go there for parts now.

That's the parking brake pedal. You push it to lock the rear drums and secure the vehicle when parked. Push it again to turn it off. Nothing is supposed to happen when you push it - that's the whole point.
