What is this??

Can someone tell me what this is?

 

I don't get to use it.....

 

It counts down to time to make a cup of coffee. I have not yet found where the cup gets dispensed.

In reality, its what it says it is. A timer to let you know its time to take a break on a long drive.

 

I was hoping there was a coffee dispenser somewhere i was missing

 

if this really is a timer to tell me I need to rest from driving, can i officially go on record saying that is the stupidest shit i have ever seen on a vehicle.

 

I have a 2016 with 38k miles, and I have NEVER seen this come up on my truck.

 

Mine shows this. People were still hard-asses in 2017, and could rack up some miles.

 

If you consulted your manual, you would both know what it is and how to disable it.

 

Pretty soon cars will tell us when to stop and use the bathroom. We detected your bladder is full...

 

Who's Manual? I don't know him.

 

They haven't dumbed the manual down to a 1st grade reading level yet

 

I have seen the Coffee Cup display show up on mine before when I had the lane detect system on and kept crossing the white lines and Yellow lines over and over while going thru construction zone So I got my mug out and was waiting for the coffee dispenser to pop out and fill my mug up ...... I was really disappointed when it didn't...

 

When I first got my truck, I would keep a stainless steel thermos in the cab.

At coffee break time I would go to my truck and bring the thermos inside.

A guy I worked with asked me if I had a coffee maker in my truck- "yeah, standard equipment on a Tacoma", I told him with a straight face.

 

Finally found a use for the bed inverter?

 

It’s a Starbucks locator. Let’s driver know when their close to a Barista.

Or a lot of the other useless crap the higher models have...- just kidding!

 

I'm pretty sure its related to the Safety sense stuff. Something about sway warning. So its likely only in 2018 and up.

 

I’ll agree with you on the inverter. A 12V outlet would be more useful back there.

 

Means too many road cokes. Pull over and piss. Then drink some water.
