Thanks! I had a Wrangler Unlimited for the last 4 years, decided it was time for a switch. The truck is stock right now but I'll be leveling it and changing out the wheels/tires to start. Then we'll see where it goes from there, the world of Tacoma mods seems right up there w/ Jeep mods!

Sweet! That's the pretty much the look I want right there. I wanna get it leveled, black TRD wheels and some all terrain tires. Is that a leveling kit or a small lift you have?

No sir, stock suspension with 265/70/17 C rated bfgs ko2s. A lot of people think its lifted or leveled, even guys that see it in person. Those sema wheels really change the look, and they stick out about an inch farther than the stock rims.

    It's a secret
I had a 2017 which field mice did chew up a wire harness and made the master warning light show up on my dash.

The little cunt cost me ~$700 of my insurance deductible to get it replaced.

Other than the soy-base wiring insulators, the rodents are also drawn to the warmth of the engine bay at night time if it had been recently driven at night.

Wow, fooled me! Definitely looks at least leveled. I'd also like to change out my grille for one of the TRD Pro grilles, OEM or knockoff, but I'm sure that's a heated debate somewhere on this site already lol

Trd pro grille looks good, but ihmo its too played out. 8 out of 10 tacos where i live are rocking that grille. My buddy got a knock off one and its fine with the sensors and stuff. I painted my ugly chrome bezel black and im happy, looks a bit different from everyone.

I’d suggest crawling under your truck and look through the engine bay with a fine toothed comb. There is only one reason people put things like that in, past experience. Just check to make sure that experience wasn’t with that Tacoma. If so, bring it to the dealers attention and get it documented immediately!

See, now that's funny. There are a TON of Tacomas in my town. I can't go to the store w/o seeing at least a half dozen or more. And not a single one I've seen has that TRD Pro grille. I didn't even know it existed until I watched some mod vids on YT. So maybe I'll be the only one around to have it!

    This^

Rodents have been chewing on shit since the beginning of time. As long as they're already in the engine bay, wiring is simply a convenient way to keep their ever growing incisors in check.
It doesn't matter if it's your great grandad's tractor or your new Audi, as long as they're in there, they're going to be chewing on shit. If it's not wires, it'll be something else. Fact.

I agree! Here in San Jose, CA I see loads of Tacomas and not many have the pro grille. I’m struggling to find the right OEM one on Toyota parts, so if you find one that works for 2019, please let me know! :)

I ended up going with the grille from Taco Garage, it's $200 and the quality is great and it installed perfectly. Here's the link: And here's a before and after my mods...

In the DFW area, there are lots of suburbs that border undeveloped land. As new subdivisions are added, the critters that live there get pushed out. Some people also live in more sparse/large lot areas that often include undeveloped spaces. Rodents are not uncommon.
