Incase you haven't noticed, we usually only talk/write to each other (hawaiians) like that, because most of us that was born and raised here naturally sound like that. Luckily for me, I can turn it off when I need to speak professionally.
A lot of my friends cannot.

BTW, I went to college

Same here. Good thing I can switch it on and off. I can even speak completely broken English for the foreigners.

hawaii sounds about 5x cooler now that I know this.

id say around here 2 or 3 in 100 are tacos based on my traffic spotting, with 2 or 3 out of 10 lifted. definately makes mine stand out tho.

I think the tacoma in Hawaii is the equivalent of the f150 in Texas.

Architectual Drafting/Design. Tried business online at U of Phoenix, but didn't finish. Seemed like a waste of time.

Now i'm a leadman Machinist at Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard.
Working on quick disconnect swaybar links :D

No money, all went to truck...
The third gen 4runner gave the tacoma a run for its money as the state truck, but today, tacoma is clearly the state truck in Hawaii.

I feel so much cooler now that I have a tacoma (last truck was a 3rd gen 4runner).

It seems that Hawaii has a major fetish in lifting trucks beyond anything practical. But hey, makes us unique right?

I also like to dive/eat/poke tako. Same goes for the pink variety.

Bullaculla, you get one nice job! Hope the furloughs don't hurt too bad.

Thanks, I'm on medical right now because of a back injury. I'm pretty sure i'll be laid off this year, but we still have work right now. I don't mind the layoff anyway. $500 a week to stay home? rahjah dat!
