    loaded to the brim with all the fuel and cargo we can old, then add all the friction from the skiis - especially if the snow is "sticky" we wouldn't be able to get off the ground without it in certain situations.

    but anyway back on topic..

    Yea we work our planes. Fat Albert is running waaaay lighter - 82-84k lbs plane, maybe 22k lbs of fuel - maybe flying at a gross weight of 110k lbs,

    LC130 around 92k lbs with 64k fuel plus crew baggage/pax we are right at 155k +. 45+k lbs is a big difference.

    *numbers are rough numbers just for comparison.
