Since owning this truck I have had a lot of losers want to race. Tonight it was some guy in a jeep liberty. I did not race him but I have to say I am finding it really annoying. Doe my truck scream I want to race you or something.

I've not had that problem with the Tacoma.

Oddly enough, my 71 Datsun pickup was a magnet for dumbasses wanting to stoplight drag race. That truck wasn't fast, but it was faster than it looked with a header and a Weber carb on it. If they were driving a Celica, I just laughed and waved as they went by me burning gas. If they were driving a Corolla, I had my fun with them. Hard to believe it, but Corolla guys are out looking for a "kill" also. Hee hee.

It is not worth the gas to race these people. I just don't understand what is going through their heads. This guy in the liberty must have been mid 40's. I felt like rolling down my window and telling him not to waste his tranny trying to keep up but I choose not to race. If I wanted to race I would have bought a car and brought it to a track.

It's weird... I actually haven't had anyone try to race me for quite a while now. Used to happen quite a bit, but not so much anymore.

Never happens in the Taco, only when I drive the wife's Acura. Every punk in a WRX wants to race. Have given in a couple of times and humbled them :)

Doesn't seem to be a problem for me. Usually its the guys in the 3/4 or 1 ton trucks that look over and seem to go, "huh, not bad for a little truck." :)

Now every once in a while when I go home and take my dad's 370Z for a drive, everyone wants to race.

I notice a lot of bigger trucks, especially the diesel guys wanting to strut their stuff over the little truck.

I've never had anyone want to race me since I got my Tacoma. Now my last car, 2010 Golf was a different story. I guess they know their jealously takes over the fact of them wanting to race because they know there soccer van would not win lol.

I bought my tacoma because I didn't want people trying to race me all the time. I had a WRX and everyone and their brother would try to race me all the time. I got tired of it, sold it and got my tacoma. haven't had anyone try to race me since I got the truck. Thank god.
