I average around 21 for most of my daily driving which is 70/30 city/hwy, with 24 stoplights between home and work, of which I usually hit half.

Today took the wife and daughter to the beach, about an hour ride each way. Hit 24.8 mpg on the way down but sat in dead stop/barely moving traffic for 20+ minutes due to road work.
This image was what I got on the way back home. Filled up before I left the beach to make sure that it was a clean measurement without any other data. Mostly straight road with about 5-6 lights.
Was on cruise mostly and speeds were 62 and under. Light cross winds.
Highway mpg so far this summer, since it got hot, routinely will get >24.
Truck is basically stock at this time with the GY Wrangler tires.

Well you know the average isn’t really all that accurate in 50 miles of driving but I have gotten 24 with my 2wd OR after burning the whole tank.

Fairly typical for short trips, only live 10 miles from my office.

That’s about right for my 19. I do about the same city/hwy ratio and I have 20.8 lifetime average (6 months old). Work is only 2 miles so I’m sure the short ride hurts it a bit. My best was about 26.5 driving the 90 or so miles between Orlando and Tampa. It was late so no traffic, cruise on at 70 the whole way.

For my truck the average over the life of the tank full seems to be pretty accurate and doesn't deviate much from single trip, 0.25-0.75 of full full up.

Just making observations here and discussion.

I doubt it. Respond when you get to the end of that tank.

Anyone know how the mpg is generated? If you go bigger tires, change the gearing, have an un calibrated Speedo does it read incorrectly? Right now I’m at 13-14mpg :crapstorm:

If the rest of this tank was going to be @ 50 mile trips I would. But..., the rest of the trips on this tank will be 10 miles at a time.
That will undoubtedly skew the numbers.

    Or dumb...
Apparently as with any forum, noob questions are frowned upon.
@ 53 years old, there are not many thing that are new to me. That said, I was wanting to share my current experience with my vehicle.
Sorry if my doing so drew the ire of his Eminence such that he felt it necessary to throw sarcasm into his response.

Perhaps he would just go ahead and use his authority to delete the post... Since there are so many like it...

Didn't realize there were so many whiners on this forum.
Does your snowflake melting cause you to tinkle on every other repeat thread?

Do you feel the need to go on every thread about color, transmission shifting, tires, lifts and on and on?
Seriously, go change your differential oil or something.
