What is your customized start up display? =)

So, I have a storm trooper TRD Pro. This picture was fitting...


However, it's just a screen grab from the movie. So... using bits from the internet and some Photoshop skills, I made this...


I can probably put together an x-wing cockpit too although I think there are plenty of stock images out there that might fit the bill.

The picture I made above fits the Taco screen perfectly.

 

is there specifically a picture size that works best?

Saw a YouTube video that stated 885 x 530 (pixels) works great with little no black bars.

How/when does the Display Off images appear? When I turn off my truck the screen goes black immediately.

 

Hit the cog button on your screen. In the next menu screen, at the bottom, you'll see a button for "display off". Push that and your custom display off picture will show up. Music and all that will continue to play but you're screen will be taken over by your picture. Hit the home, apps, any other button to bring back up your other screens.

 

I would use this for startup. And my other pic for display off.

 

I was wondering the same thing. I doubt mine shows the image for even one second.

 

It does only show for a second or so. A little longer in older vehicles (our 2015 Highlander is a bit slower in general and shows the startup screen a little longer but still just about a second).

Does the SR head unit have the ability to have these custom on off images?

 

First image is startup, second is display off.

 

I've searched and searched but I couldn't find anything. Does anyone know what the screen size resolution is? I'm anal about having the right resolution and can't stand those black borders when it's not perfect.

Mine still shows the Toyota emblem, then barely flashes the startup image before the warning. Any ideas?
