What is your customized start up display? =)

The startup image doesn't last too long, it's usually a pretty quick showing of the picture. That's why I use the screen off image for cooler images that I want to see longer lol

 

Here is mine:

 

It is literally 2/10ths of a second and didn't replace the emblem startup image at all. Basically it goes Toyota emblem for a couple seconds, flashes the one I had for 2/10ths, then the warning.

I’m using this too for both start and off, but I am going to redo the off one so it will look powered down with darkened numbers and LED’s in it.

 

That may be too fast. Mine is 1 sec, maybe 2 at most

 

I thought this was a cool thing, then I realized I see the picture for 1 second. Wow. Ok maybe it can't be a background, but at least cover up the caution screen. Weakest "mod" ever...

 

I borrowed one of the images on here and it works like normal now (from videos I have seen on youtube). Evidently it really didnt like the image I was trying to use

I always thought it was the stick-on scoops, feux-pro badges and grills, and the doughnuts - don’t get me started about doughnuts! But my 2-second on and off time circuit screen? That’s Cool!

I can hear the end battle music just looking at it. lol. I had waaaaayy to many hours into that game.

 

Is there a fellow deadhead on this thread who has changed a screen image to an eye popping version of the Dead Stealie logo on a black/dark background at the right size/clarity? If so please share...

 

Couldn't get my image to work.. tried YouTube and the infamous manual...

 

Did you follow these steps:

--> usb has to be formatted with Fat32
--> no spaces or special characters in name
--> Create a folder called StartupImage (has to look identical to this)
--> Create a folder called DisplayOffImage (has to look identical to this)
--> Place photos into these folder

I used a picture with a size of 1280x720
Make sure it is a JPEG

Figured it out. No special characters in the actual image name. All good

 

Which I get rid of the warning message too.

 

Maybe I should use this instead. This is Blucifer and would be perfect for my blue truck.
