1.) Any airplane I'm allowed to fly.
2.) The airplane I should have never sold, just a 1959 C150 but it was all mine and cheap to keep.
3.) For speed and looks, the SR-71.
4.) For modern all around good transport the Boeing 777-2xxLR. Very realiable, will just about fly from & to anywhere in the world non-stop and very safe.
5.) For my personal use on a relative budget V35 or C310.

Upon landing of the B-29, they killed the outboard engines, and put the flags out. It was pretty cool. After they parked, they throw about 50 gunny sacks out, to put under the engines, to absorb the oil that leaked!!

One of my favorite things ever.
The 4 radial engines is pure bliss.
The only thing that may be better is a Lancaster with 4 Merlins singing away.

I was able to tour Fifi at an airshow about four years ago. In talking to one of the crew he told me it cost them about $2000 an hour just in fuel to keep her flying . I gladly gave my donation to be able to climb around inside this national treasure.

    Me personally, I'm a fan of CAS aircraft, P-47, F4U, A-4, A-7, A-10.

The first "gunship," a modified B-25 with a 75 mm cannon.

Spooky was a version of the DC-3 that started the whole modern gunship thing.

The 123 was the next evolutionary step in gunships.

And the last is a picture of the main feature of the latest AC 130 accouterments.
