Lol. people from California. You realize in other parts of the country like the south everyone has a gun. Scratch that everyone has multiple guns. It’s not hard to explain as long as your legally carrying

If your stopped you keep your hands on the wheel and tell the officer where the gun is. not a big deal. He is going to want to see your paper work and run the serial numbers on the gun.

Not here in Mo. … I do have a CCW, but even without a CCW in Mo. your auto is a personal property and you have the right to carry guns loaded or not in sight or not … Been pulled over before with my pistol in sight but hands on streeling wheel and inform Officer there's a weapon in your auto, that is a major requirement carrying guns in your auto in Mo. … without a receipt they can take it and you will have go to the police with proof of ownership to pick it up but I carry 12 different receipts lol never know which one's I'll have in there!

Favorite interior modification has been the locking compartments under the back seat.

Did you put a lock on the storage compartment under the back seat?

I hope I'm not breaking any rules posting it, but this is what I bought and installed:

The Toyota Tacoma Rear Under Seat Storage Unit is an alternative to the plastic unit that comes standard with the truck. This lockable unit is made to secure your belongings, making it very hard for someone to pry it open. It was designed to fit flush with the floor for a very clean look.

When I traded my 2005 for a 2014 Tundra, all those compartments went away; under the back seats, the cubby left of the steering wheel, the pouch behind the driver, the space behind the back seats and the two pockets in the bed (which now also have locking compartment covers). All I could think was "WTF?!" There was virtually no storage space in the Tundra at all. Had it one year and went back to a Tacoma.

I bought a factory replacement from North Hills Toyota on Amazon. Yes, it cost more than the aftermarket ones listed at nearly 1/2 the price, but many of the reviews I read of the aftermarket models, stated they were "noisy" and that's the reason I was replacing it; to get away from it being noisy. So far, I love it; as much as you could love a quiet blower motor. I bought this one:

    Toyota 87103-04044 - OEM Part

    https://www.amazon.com/Toyota-8710304044-87103-04044-OEM-Part/dp/B012EKYCTI/ref=sr_1_1?s=automotive&ie=UTF8&qid=1527749225&sr=1-1&keywords=Toyota+87103-04044+-+OEM+Part

I love how crappyfornia people just think that you will get shot by the cops if you have a gun. I got pulled over in central Texas between bastrop and giddings and the cop asked me where my gun was before he asked for my ID. Told him under the steering wheel, insurance is in my center console and my DL is in my wallet. Got out of the truck, he checked the serial numbers, ran my ID and sent me on my way. Easy.

Too many to list, and I've probably forgotten a bunch.
Well, I'm from Crappyfornia, but I don't think I'll get shot by cops if I have a gun. I do have a CA CCW (from the Bay Area, no less), and I deal with cops a lot for SAR and in my other pursuits. No matter where you are, if you get lit up and stopped, be polite, produce license, carry permit(if required - in CA we don't have to), registration, etc. And remember that if you think he/she is full of shit for the stop, the place to argue it is in court, not the roadside. We got people in black robes to mediate those disputes.

If the cop is a bad apple, get the name and badge number, and deal with department/office brass, not the cop. Like Obi-wan told Han, "There are alternatives to fighting." (at least right then and there)

Ob Mod: Most favorite mod? Keeping a softpack of baby wipes in the center console. A million uses (1,000,001 if you count using them for the baby!)

Not a big deal, especially in rural Missouri. Hey cop, I have a firearm in my cupholder.
