I'm marinading a flank steak now, used soy sauce, brown sugar, a cajun seasoning, pepper, garlic, tomato paste and red wine. I wished I'd read this earlier, I'd have swapped in honey instead of brown sugar.

I have a few of them.

For the smoker I really like Bone Suckin Sauce rub

For other things we use Lowerys Seasoning, good taste not overpowering. Other times I will mix up whatever sounds good at that moment lol.

An unusually high amount of pinstriping.
I either run with good old salt and pepper, or my own rub.

Smoked once with it and liked it. Love this stuff w/ ribs on the grill.

I thought it would be a great idea to use on a steak seared or cooked in the oven.. not so much.

I use a lot of different spices but one of the best for beef, chicken and spaghetti sauce (Made it tonight) is Ox Roast seasoning from the Sanoma Cheese factory in CA. They sell a 3.5 oz for $5.99 but we usually get a bunch of guys from work to get together and buy a few pounds at a time for a much cheaper price. You have to call them to order it in bulk. Kicken Chicken is also awesome, saw it posted above.

The one I use most though is Jocko's Mix. When I am in Santa Maria area I usually get a few cans at Albertson's. I pass them off to coworkers and family. You can also buy it at the famous Jockos restaurant itself and get one of their amazing grass fed bone in rib eyes cooked on red oak. The seasoning is simply salt, pepper and garlic powder but it is very finely ground. In fact every time you sprinkle it on the food you are cooking you are sure to cough from the dust. Worth it though. I use this stuff on almost everything.
