What is your method for cleaning?

Hey all. What are you doing for inside the fuel door and around the gas filler area, to get and keep clean? Thanks for your time

 

I just wipe it out with a damp rag and hit it with spray wax or spray sealant.

 

I do the same as above but put a little silicone grease on the hinge so it opens and closes better than new.

 

Silicon grease from a spray bottle (like WD40)? Or is it actually a viscous grease?

 

Soap and water?

Or y’all telling me you don’t wash it when you wash the truck?

Observation: ain’t this kinda like taking a shower and not washin your ass?

 

Got it at Napa some time ago. Lasts long, long time. Use it on my clutch pedal parts, brakes, door hinges (truck and home). For the fuel door just work some into the hinge.

 

I usually just spray it with some waterless wash like Car-pro Ech2O and then wipe it down with a towel. Enough to keep it from getting too dirty, but it's also not a very visible part of the car.
