I'm at $487 a month for 60 months with $10k down on a $36,300 loan. Biggest loan I've ever had but I decided I needed something better than the rust bucket ford I had before. No buyers remorse here.

TFS is offering 1.9% up to 60 months. That's below stock market growth so you could use the extra money to make it work for you and come out ahead. Mix that with the possibility of paying extra per month, you can pay it off ahead of time and still end up paying less in interest.

Same here just saved and paid for it. I could have paid my off my house with the the money.
However, only owe 23K on my house. That will be paid off in two years.
I think the moral is: Start saving when your young and and one day when your older, you will be damn glad you did that!

I feel even more poor reading this thread lmao!!

I put zero down. Paying 475/month for 6 years. It went up almost 20 more a month when I added gap insurance and crap. I tried to stay under 450 but with zero down and needing gap I couldn't pull it off.

    My interest is 5.5%.

And I got the SR. Window price was 27k.

I think if you are going to finance it for a long time, say 60 or more months, it's important that you have enough down that if you had to sell the vehicle, you would be able to come out ahead. That is one good part about a Tacoma, it will hold it's value well during your loan duration.

I dropped 50% down and financed out the rest at 60 and make two full payments a month. Low payment just in case something financially catastrophic happened I got a buffer. Could have paid in cash but I hate seeing that much leave all at once.
