Divorce rate doesn't surprise me at all for NV. If I remember right from a plaque I once read in Reno.... in the 40s or 50s they had drive up divorce places just like the drive in wedding chapels.

But the lady has the dignity of most child smokers (Alabama) :p

Alabama is really poor at keeping outsiders out. Many in U.S. who believe Alabama is still living in the dark ages and, we like it like that.

I would say we are the worst at not looking stupid to the rest of the states or world. Everybody from kansas in the news is a dumbass with very few exceptions.

God forbid word gets out that we have the interwebz now! lol. I was raised in Alabama, right outside of Montgomery in a small country town. I'm here now visiting my folks for the holidays.

Ory Gone, Most lost causes trying to save animals.

Re-introduce the Wolf only to have it kill of cattle....again, then dole out permits for ranchers and farmers to shoot them.

Angst over seals killing off all the salmon at dams on the Columbia. Air lift all the seals and dump them a thousand miles away only to have them back in a week killing off all the salmon. Angst over two protected species while the seals are eating all the salmon. Finally....shoot the seals.

Attempt to re-introduce Mountain Goats to the Columbia Gorge not being sure if they were there in the first place. Then, angst over them eating a rare flower that only grows in the Gorge.

Pretty much everything, but looking out for the best interest of the tax payer instead of themselves/special interest groups sticks out in my mind in the not-so-great state of Welfarenia (Ca)

Tacoma is stock and staying that way, Pickup is TBA as of now.
Montana, most traffic fatalities, no surprise there! Our roads are really out of date and need updating, many of which are really narrow, have no shoulders, and are very windy in places.

Colorado kinda surprised me with most cocaine use in the country, thought that was mainly centered around Florida and Colorado was all about weed.

PSH! Depends on what part of Alabama you are living in. I just moved from there a little over a month ago. PLENTY of areas that still are in the dark ages! Hell, there is still a public bathroom in one town near where I was at that STILL has a sign on the door saying "no coloreds"! As for the government, try getting a lost title for a truck. No, you can't just show up at the tag agency. No, you can't request one online. You STILL have to mail a letter, the old fashioned way, and wait 4-6 WEEKS! So yeah, still in the dark ages compared to the rest of the US I think.
