I like to keep my badges. Taking them off looks like you are ashamed of it, like you don't want people to know you drive a Tacoma.
Also, I have seen too many cars that had cheap paint jobs where they did not put the badges back, I don't want my truck to give that impression.

I took mine off with the intent of painting them black. Once off I liked the clean look on the MGM paint and decided to hold off on painting and replacing the badges. Maybe I'll eventually paint them and put them back on but for now I really like the ease of washing and waxing without them.

Bought my taco about a month ago already debadged. I'm a big fan of the stock look and I was really looking at purchasing some new badges, but after spending some time with the truck, I'm beginning to like the way it looks.. Probably because it's cheaper to leave it alone :(

Debadged mine the day after I bought it. Looks so much cleaner without badges. The only ones I haven't taken off yet are the TRD sport decals on the bedsides. Still on the fence about those.

I really like it on some vehicles, however I like the badges on my truck and the TRD decals. I personally also think they look 100x better in black on my silver truck than in the stock chrome.

    b) vehicle was in accident and body shop never reinstalled badges
    c) it's a Hyundi...but wants to pretend it's a BMW

To continue the look, though, you gotta shave the door handles and hang the license plate at a 30 deg angle. :D

I do like the look of the badges but didn't like all the cheap looking wannabe chrome all over the place. I did leave the badges but went with the black ones....Also the bedsides had to go.

Don't care for the clean look as much. Kept mine, but derped. Very easy and looks good IMO. The other option I'm considering is to sockmonkey.

I have no preference. If any of the decals/badging ever falls off on it's own, I won't go out of my way to put them back on.

I de-badge all my vehicles right away to reduce the weight of the vehicle which will make it faster, more aerodynamic, and more fuel efficient :p

As mentioned already, a major advantage of de-badging is that it's easier to clean and wax the vehicle w/o the badges.

As for the appearance aspect... some people love plastering their vehicles with badges (i.e. NASCAR fans!) and some don't. I like a clean, clutter-free look, so I don't care for badges.

Most of the Tacoma badges aren't offensive to me, but I do think badges like, "4x4", "V6", "24 valve", etc., are just silly. Why not keep going and add "Has Tires", "Includes A/C", and "Comfy Seats" stickers as well? ;)

When I was young, I used to like stickers and words all over my vehicles. On my first Toyota pick-up, I had custom, large decals made that said "TOYOTA Motorsports" on each door. Now that I'm an old fart, I don't want words all over my vehicle, I just want a nice looking vehicle.

Image if you saw an attractive women and she had a tattoo on her forehead that said, "WOMAN"!?!? I guess that'd be attractive to some, but not me! :D

on the 4x4...dislike the 4x4 stickers on many trucks. I may even change my mud flaps to a prerunner set to get rid of the elementary school math equasion behind the tires,

on the tatts...not a fan, especially on face...neck...

I really like the clean look of the tailgate without the badges.

I dipped my door "TACOMA"s black. I think it looks good.
