I will soon be buying my first Tacoma. It's a 2013 TRD Sport Double Cab 4x4. I'm looking to out a 3 inch suspension lift and 33s on 18s. I do not want to have to cut or trim anything. I won't be doing any serious off-roading. I just want to know which lift is the best and has the best feel with that setup for the money. I looked into the 3 inch suspension from Rough Country but I've read too many bad reviews on it. Any suggestions?

I'd really like to keep the lift itself under $500. And I will have it professionally installed.

I'd say you're probably right. I like your setup. How Many inches of total lift do you have?

3" up front and about 3.25-3.5" in the rear plus approx 1.5" from the 285s

The ride is great. Soaks up everything. Anything over stock with be 1000 times better. Power suffers a bit and it's not bad, but that's due to the load E Duratracs. If you don't plan on taking it off pavement, load C is what you want.

I gotcha. What was you total cost on the lift? I'm looking into a 4 inch suspension from Rough Country now and it seems to have better reviews. It's also $750 more. Have you heard anything on it?

My finance's brother's girlfriend has a Jeep with a Rough country lift and the name fits the ride..ROUGH! She's ridden in my Tacoma and she said it's night and day.

Talk to Marie and headstrong offroad. I got my lift from them with OUTSTANDING customer service. Can't say enough nice things about them there.

I've currently got a 3.5 inch rough country on my 08 Silverado and I'm pretty pleased with it! I guess I'm going to try the 4 inch on 33s. I appreciate your help and merry Christmas!

I'm looking at this headstrong off-road 5100 kit. It says 2.5-3 inches of lift. Do you think it could run 33s without trimming?

No. You will have to do some minor trimming for just on road driving, steep driveway/parking lot entrances, remove the mud flaps and maybe a cab mount chop. My cab mount chop was done months ahead as a precaution. If you're that concerned with trimming, get the 265s. But I honestly trimmed so little that I can hold it all in one hand, open palm.
