I'm still looking for a good combo day pack/camera bag. I have yet to find one that's not a huge compromise one way or another. It's so frustrating looking for them, I swear I'm thinking about starting my own line.

    back to bone stock.
i have a LOWEPRO fanny pack. fanny packs are gay, but i needed it to house my camera traveling to third world countries. you will not survive carrying a camera in a bag. i was in LAOS..i pick one lens and stuck with it. i could guard my gear on the most crowded buses. i will not travel any other way. having said that..my LOWEPRO broke. i searched the warranty, and it is feeble.

for a great bombproof bag..TENBA. i cant break it. hell, is TENBA still in existence? my bag may be 20 years old.

    I have 3 set ups I use:

    1. Lowepro Phototrekker AW for traveling and storing my gear. At the time I purchased it, this was the largest photo backpack allowed on a commercial aircraft as a carry on.

    2. Lowepro Nova 50 as a walk around shoulder bag. Makes a nice day pack.

    3. For sports shooting, I use a Think Tank belt system.

i haven't seen them ever again either, and im looking for one for another camera...

the Tamrac photog that shot the video was tripping out too cuz he said he has never seen anyone with that strap...

It's a great photo forum with tons of info. There's always a "what's the best strap" thread going on......

i don't know if i would want to buy a camera strap used...

if you buy it off someone who sweats a lot, that's a lot of transfer...

if its a kick ass strap though, might be worth washing it before using...

    JUST SAYIN...

    hahaha

hey guys, think tank's quality is pretty amazing. I have the Dakine Sequence and it's a pretty nice bag, limited in space though. I got the Think Tank Sling o 30 for xmas and its a really cool idea but after using it for a while I got tired of the sling. 511 tactical makes a bag line called rush 12, 24 & 72. its not a "camera bag" but its comfortable and holds my d700, 24-70, 70-200, 50, 2 flashes and still plenty of room for ipad, cords, all the extra crap that ends up coming along, and can strap the tripod to the side. I have the 72, and its an awesome bag if you want to check it out.
