Just push the round knob and it applies the brake, it can't get any simpler.

Super easy install with the Tacoma install kit.

Where doyou order it from? Is there a version specific to the 2nd gen Tacoma?

Whoa someone made a bracket for the Redarc?! I just had to kind of ziptie it up behind there when I did mine a few years back. Hmmm, is it worth taking apart my lower dash again to mount it nicely...?

Probably not. I used zip ties too, worked fine. I found out about the bracket after, would have been nice, but now it’s out of sight out of mind

I dont have a redarc so I had to google but pressing the nob manually applies the trailer brakes? Cool learned something today.

I have a Tekonsha P3 and it works great. It also has a lever underneath the unit to manually apply the brakes.

I thought about the Redarc. I've never used one, so I can't say if I think they are good or bad- I just liked the screen on the P3 for adjustments and the simplicity of using it for multiple trailers if needed.

Down side of the P3 is that I have to remember it's there or I hit it with my shin. There are "discrete" mounting options for it, but I took the easy path and screwed it to the underside of the dash.

As to weight distribution hitches, I really like my Andersen.

My camper is almost 5000# fully loaded, and it handles it quite well and very easy to use. And it's clean!

For those with the Tekonsha P3, where are you mounting them at? Will the wiring harness reach the center console cubby?

I mounted my P3 under the dash, a couple of inches from the hood release.

I don't think the harness is long enough to reach the center console. If you can solder (or use crimp connectors of some type), you could make the harness longer.

Yes. You can also press the knob instead of the brake pedal to start the engine. Handy if you’re outside the truck and need to start it for some reason.

I 3d printed one of these to mount it in that little cubby down by your left knee (linked below) i hit my knee on it every time I drive and it sucks bad! It also doesn't hold very well so it pops out every now and then. I am gong to see if I can move it to a ram ball on the A pillar oh shit handle this spring so its up on the dash.

Sure. I'll do it tomorrow if I can remember that long.

IIRC, there are 2 in the rear (forward in truck) and 2 at the opening.

The cover is stable, and does not move/rattle
